Policies and Procedures
The Office of Student Conduct, formerly Student Judicial Affairs, (located in 87 Boreman North) will provide leadership to ensure the University is a living-learning community. This office will strive to foster a campus community that protects the health, welfare, safety, property, and rights of all members. Staff members from the Office of Student Conduct are available to assist students in understanding and applying the West Virginia University Student Conduct Code (pdf) . For sexual misconduct issues, please see the West Virginia University Board of Governors Policy on Sexual Misconduct (pdf) and the WVU Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion website.
Specific advising services are offered to individuals who wish to bring charges against
a student and to students against whom charges have been made. These services include
an explanation of substantive and due process rights, the right of appeal, the
right to a fair hearing, and the opportunity to understand and use the Code.
