Carrie Showalter is currently serving as the Executive Director for Student Conduct. In this role, Carrie has responsibility for the adjudication of Sexual Misconduct, Academic Misconduct, Student Organization Misconduct, as well as a variety of individual behavior related concerns.
Prior to joining the team in the Office of Student Conduct, Carrie managed the Office of Student Legal Services and served as the attorney for students.
Carrie received her JD at West Virginia University College of Law in 2003, and her BA from the College of Wooster (OH) in 1997.
Carrie clerked for the Honorable Robert B. Stone, Circuit Court Judge for the 17th Judicial Circuit (Monongalia County) of West Virginia from 2003-2005. Ms. Showalter worked for West Virginia University Hospitals from 2005-2006 as a contract specialist negotiating contracts with various health insurance companies. From 2006-2007, Ms. Showalter practiced with the law firm of Widmer-Eby & Associates in Morgantown, West Virginia.
